Arab Government Excellence Award to honor Arab ministers and ministries on January 5

The Arab Government Excellence Award will be presented on January 5 at the Arab League Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

His Excellency Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Award’s Secretary General, will attend the ceremony. and the Arab League’s Secretary-General, His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

The “Arab Government Excellence Award” has been established by the Arab Administrative Development Organization, or ARADO, in collaboration with the Government of the United Arab Emirates. Its purpose is to honor prominent Arab ministers and ministries for their outstanding contributions to improving governance and administrative practice in the region.

By highlighting successful experiences and fostering a positive institutional and leadership environment among government sectors throughout the Arab world, the Award seeks to acknowledge the development and implementation of best practices to advance Arab government excellence.

In order to ensure that participants are evaluated in an open and impartial manner, the Award is open to all government agencies in the Arab world, with the exception of those in the United Arab Emirates. It has 15 categories, with individuals and institutions as its two subcategories.

The Award seeks to recognize excellence in administrative practice in government by awarding the best Arab minister, best administrator, and best governor.

The Award’s goal is to spread a culture of quality and excellence throughout the Arab world and to cultivate positive leadership models. It focuses on giving Arab government bodies a place to share their experiences and best practices and improving their overall performance and growth.
