Gumball 3000, the world-famous sportscar rally, stopped at Expo City on Friday. It started at Burj Park and went through the UAE and Oman.
On November 13, a lineup of celebrity drivers and more than 100 elite high-performance vehicles, including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and a Bugatti Divo, set off from Burj Park, making their Middle Eastern debut for the motor rally’s 23rd edition.
They traveled through the dramatic sea and desert landscapes of the United Arab Emirates and Oman before arriving at the magnificent Al Wasl Plaza for an electrifying projection show that captivated both drivers and spectators.
A “meet and greet” with drivers, including British YouTuber Yung Filly, Moroccan-American rapper French Montana, and Hanan Mazouzi Sobati, who founded the Arabian Gazelles, the first all-women supercar owner’s club in Dubai, were among the evening’s highlights.
For The Purple Team, which consisted of nine drivers from Oman and the United Arab Emirates, Sobati drove an Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
They will celebrate the end of the Formula 1 season at Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday, where the epic and eclectic adventure will come to an end.
