At this year’s 80th Golden Globes, Zendaya won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series for her work in “Euphoria.” Julia Garner won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series for her work in “Ozark.”
Zendaya was up against Emma D’Arcy (House of the Dragon), Laura Linney (Ozark), Imelda Staunton (The Crown), and Hilary Swank (Alaska Daily) for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Drama.
According to IANS, Zendaya was not in attendance when Julia Garner accepted the award. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, Television alongside Elizabeth Debicki (‘The Crown,’ Hannah Einbinder (‘Hacks,’ Janelle James (‘Abbott Elementary,’ and Sheryl Lee Ralph (‘Abbott Elementary,’). Overwhelmed, I am. I’m happy to be here. The greatest gift this year has been playing Ruth for everyone.”
