All little Tarantinos, promising Bigelows, adorable Coppolas, and junior Jacksons are welcome! Global Village, the leading multi-cultural family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment in the UAE and the wider region, has partnered with Bloom World Academy (BWA) to celebrate “creator’s month.” The Young Directors Award competition will give two young people the chance to win scholarships worth more than Dh1 million for their entire education at BWA, the school that dares to do things differently.
The competition, which is based on the theme “My more wonderful world,” asks children between the ages of 5 and 14 to make a short video about what they or someone they know would do to make the world a better place or how they are already helping to build a better future.
The participant, a friend, a teacher, a member of the participant’s family, or a member of the participant’s larger community might appear in the video entry and demonstrate how they are making a significant or minor contribution to the improvement of the world.
Global Village’s executive director of marketing, Jaki Ellenby, stated: We at Global Village are of the opinion that the diversity of the world is a limitless source of creativity. Since January is known as the “International month of creativity,” it seemed like a good idea to recognize the creative talents of the UAE’s young people. Bloom World Academy, who share our enthusiasm for innovative thinking, is the ideal partner for our first “creator’s month.” We can’t wait to see how the youth of this nation will motivate us all to make the world a better place.
There are two age group entry categories for the competition: seniors (those between the ages of 11 and 14) and juniors (those between the ages of 5 and 10). a reputable panel of judges made up of Saeed Aljanahi, director of operations for the Dubai Film and Television Commission; Principal of Bloom World Academy, John Bell; Nyla Usha, an actress and Hit 96.7 host of The Big Breakfast Club; The winners will be selected after the work of Emirati director Nahla Al Fahad and Dubai Eye 103.8 radio host Helen Farmer is evaluated. Every finalist will be invited to their very own red carpet-inspired premiere, where thousands of Global Village guests will watch their films on the Kids’ Theatre stage. From each category, one lucky winner will be chosen, and the winners of the Bloom World Academy scholarships worth more than Dh1 million will be announced.
Since its inception in August 2022, Bloom World Academy has caused a stir in the education sector of the United Arab Emirates. BWA is the first school in the UAE to start school at 9 a.m. and offers flexible hours to accommodate family life. It also offers a individualized curriculum for each child with “Personal Pathways” that lets them create their own schedule.
Bloom World Academy Principal John Bell made the following statement: Bloom World Academy is a school that truly values diversity and is one of a kind. This wonderful partnership with Global Village has been fueled by our commitment to cultivate every aspect of potential through innovation and excellence. We hope that by hosting this competition, we can encourage young people in the United Arab Emirates to think creatively outside the box, delve deeply into their imaginations, and thrive through hands-on experiences. Our young people are in charge of our future, and I can’t wait to see the projects and ideas they already have for creating a more positive future for us all.
