Meet UAE’s first babies of 2023 born on New Year’s Day

Baby Hana was born in an Abu Dhabi private hospital at the 12th hour, marking the start of 2023. At Abu Dhabi’s Medeor Hospital, Egyptian couple Asmaa Mamdouh Elsayed Ahmed and Eid Ahmed Mahmoud Hassane gave birth to their first child.

 

On New Year’s Day, they gave birth precisely at midnight. Dr. (Prof.) Walid El-Sherbiny, consultant in obstetrics and gynecology and department head, delivered the 3.22 kilogram baby girl.

We couldn’t be happier to welcome such a special new member to our family to begin the new year. We are excited to watch her develop and experience all of life’s pleasures because she already has so much love. Hassane said, “I want to thank the doctor and the other people at the hospital for the level of care they gave to my wife.”

Advertisement When Hana was born on the exact day of the New Year, the family was given sweets and wishes by the doctors and nurses to mark the special occasion.

According to Dr. El-Sherbiny, the hospital as a whole celebrated the birth.

“It is a blessed moment to celebrate New Year’s by welcoming a new life into the world, and we are privileged to support the family. On a special day, we all gathered and celebrated Hana’s birth. The hope and promises of the new year are symbolized by each new baby.

Sayeda Farishta Siddique was born at 12.08 a.m. at Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi to Bangladeshi couple Rahela Sultana and Mohamed Fazlul Siddique, announcing the beginning of 2023.

Farishta, the family’s third child, weighs 2.63 kilograms. Dr. Ritu Nambiar, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, delivered her.

The parents expressed their gratitude to God for his blessings and the BMC staff for their assistance during the pregnancy.

“We are blessed to welcome our beautiful daughter into the world on this wonderful New Year’s Day. We are thankful for all the love and happiness she has already brought into our lives and for her safe arrival. Siddique stated, “We are grateful to the management and staff for their support, and the service that was provided by BMC was one of the best in the country.”

Additionally, Filipino couple Bianca Salindong and Ivy Louise Verayo gave birth to their second child at a different hospital in Abu Dhabi. Johann Jio S. Verayo was born at Burjeel Hospital at 1.18 a.m. He was delivered by Dr. Aruna Kumari, a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology, who weighed 3.76 kilograms.

At Burjeel Medical City, three additional couples welcomed their first children into the world.

Lateefa was born at 1.35 a.m. to Emirati father Abdulla Mohamed Ahmed Husain Al Ali and Thai mother Sugynya Thai. The 3.35 kilogram second child was welcomed by the parents.
Advertisement Shaikha Abd Al Rahman and Hamad Hassan Al Marri, an Emirati couple, gave birth to a son named Hassan at 3:30 a.m. Hassan, the family’s fourth child, weighs 3.06 kilograms.

We praise God for the birth of our child and the addition of a new family member. He is our fourth child and our family’s first boy. Marri stated, “My daughters now have a brother.”

Mayed, a boy, was born at 4.47 a.m. to Emirati parents. Fahad Aldhuhoori and Naseema Masooud welcomed their 2.6 kilogram second child.

Dr. Ritu expressed her happiness at being able to contribute to the happiness of the families and wished the babies and their parents all the best.

Dr. Ritu stated, “New Year’s Day is a special occasion for every family, and it is a blessing to have a new baby on this day.”
